Former beauty queen Bianca Manalo congratulated her former boyfriend, Sherwin Gatchalian, after he was officially elected Senate President.
Manalo shared a congratulatory message on Instagram, posting a social media card highlighting Gatchalian’s victory.
“Will forever be proud of you!!! Well deserved!!!!!! It’s about time! 🙌🙌🙌 The country needs you! ☝️☝️☝️,” she wrote.
The post quickly gained traction online, but her message drew mixed reactions from netizens.
“Yuck,” one user commented.

Gatchalian and Manalo were in a relationship for nearly eight years before quietly parting ways. Their breakup was never formally announced. In an earlier interview with veteran journalist Korina Sanchez, Gatchalian described his love life as “non-existent.”
Meanwhile, Manalo’s agency, Sparkle GMA Artist Center, clarified that the actress is single and denied allegations linking her to a third party.
“On behalf of our Sparkle artist, Bianca Manalo, we would like to clarify that there is no truth to rumors circulating about her involvement with another couple.
