The Philippines climbed one spot in the latest Henley Passport Index, ranking 72nd with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 66 destinations.

According to the latest rankings, the Philippines shares the 72nd spot with Uganda, improving from 73rd place in January.

Data from the index showed that Philippine passport holders can travel to more than 60 destinations worldwide without securing a visa in advance.

Singapore retained its position as having the world’s most powerful passport, with access to 192 destinations. It is followed by Japan, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates, whose passport holders can travel to 188 destinations visa-free.

Sweden ranked third with access to 187 destinations, while Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, and Spain are tied for fourth place with 186 destinations.

Austria, Greece, Malta, Portugal, and Switzerland share fifth place, with visa-free access to 185 destinations.

The rankings are based on data from the International Air Transport Association, compiled by Henley & Partners.

The index covers 199 passports and 227 travel destinations worldwide.
