Bus company Victory Liner announced that it is implementing “fuel-saving measures” to reduce costs as oil prices rise due to the US-Iran conflict.

The company said these measures aim to help Victory Liner continue providing services amid the rising cost of diesel.

Victory Liner also announced it will temporarily suspend free ride or bus pass privileges.

The Department of Energy reported that gasoline prices rose to $90 per barrel on Monday, while kerosene prices exceeded $23 per barrel.

This week, gasoline prices marked their eighth consecutive week of increases, rising by P1.90 per liter. Diesel also saw its 10th straight week of increases, rising by P1.90 per liter, while kerosene increased by P1.50 per liter.
