Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso on Thursday, November 20, announced the release of more than ₱22.3 million worth of allowances for prosecutors and judges assigned to the capital, continuing a week of payouts that earlier saw ₱317 million in year-end benefits released for City Hall employees.

The Mayor made the announcement after a meeting with senior officials from the Office of the City Prosecutor and Manila’s trial courts on Wednesday afternoon, November 19.

In attendance were Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Jolas Brutas, Assistant City Prosecutor Jasyrr J. Garcia, Metropolitan Trial Court Executive Judge Michelle Divina-Delfin, and Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Carolina Icasiano-Sison.

Domagoso said the city government will settle accumulated allowances owed to the Office of the City Prosecutor, Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC) judges, and Regional Trial Court (RTC) judges.

The payouts cover various periods from April to October 2025 for prosecutors and from May to September 2025 for judges, depending on their respective allocations.

For the Office of the City Prosecutor, the city has allotted ₱10,448,233.27 covering April to October 2025.

The MeTC of Manila will receive ₱4,047,000.00 for May to September 2025, while the RTC of Manila is set to receive ₱7,807,000.00 for May to July 2025.

In total, the city government will release ₱22,302,233.27 in allowances.

The move comes just three days after Domagoso ordered the release of ₱317,014,291.84 in year-end bonuses and cash gifts for regular City Hall personnel, a payout he said was made possible by tighter expenditure controls, improved revenue performance, and stricter discipline across departments.

During Monday’s flag-raising ceremony, he acknowledged the financial strain leading up to the release but credited his team for restoring fiscal order.

The mayor has repeatedly urged employees to deliver patient and courteous service as foot traffic at City Hall increases, while reminding the public of the ongoing General Tax Amnesty under Ordinance No. 9118 until December 31, 2025, and the schedule of early-payment discounts for 2026 Real Property Tax.

Domagoso also encouraged residents to maximize the Go Manila online platform for settling taxes, business permits, and other government transactions without lining up onsite.
