Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino is launching a nationwide hiring blitz he is calling the “Trabaho Agad Program,” with at least 45 job fairs scheduled across the country starting June 11, ahead of Araw ng Kalayaan on June 12.

Tolentino announced the program during an interview on DZRH News program “Special on Saturday” on May 30, describing it as a simultaneous nationwide event covering both local and overseas employment opportunities.

“Iniisip ko ‘yung isang nationwide hiring blitz. Parang kung ako mag-iisip ng pangalan nito—’Trabaho Agad Program,'” he said.

The job fairs will run from the National Capital Region to Caraga, covering all regions of the country.

Among the locations mentioned by Tolentino are Tarlac City, Zambales, Valenzuela, Malabon, Albay, Dumaguete, Carmen in Bohol, Tacloban, SM Seaside Cebu, SM Tuguegarao, SM Bataan, Dagupan, Rosales, Alaminos in Pangasinan, Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan, General Santos, and Davao City, among others.

The full list of venues has yet to be finalized and published on the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) official social media platforms.

Some areas will begin a day earlier on June 11—including Tarlac City, Zambales, Valenzuela, and Malabon—to allow DOLE regional offices with limited personnel to stagger the rollout.

“Kakaunti naman ang aming tao doon kaya kailangan agahan namin sa ibang mga lugar. Kasi nagtutulungan ‘yung DOLE family dito,” Tolentino explained.

He advised jobseekers attending the fairs to come prepared with their job requirements, including their resume or curriculum vitae. A list will also be published on DOLE social media platforms.

Tolentino described the program as particularly timely given job losses linked to the ongoing oil crisis, saying the job fairs would serve not just as an employment opportunity but as direct assistance to workers who have been displaced.

For the complete and updated list of venues and schedules, Tolentino said the public can expect official announcements on DOLE’s social media pages, which are currently being revitalized, as well as on his personal Facebook page in the meantime.
