Ako Bicol Rep. Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co has only four days left to comply with House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III’s order revoking his travel clearance and directing him to return to the Philippines.

Dy earlier gave Co 10 days to come home, citing the “paramount interest of the public” and “pressing national matters” that require his physical presence.

The deadline lapses after September 28, Sunday.

So far, there has been no word from Co’s camp and the House of Representatives on whether he has already flown back to the country.

The lawmaker had said he was in the United States for medical treatment when the order was issued.

Co, a former House appropriations chair, is facing allegations of manipulating the national budget through questionable insertions and receiving kickbacks from flood control projects.

His family-owned construction firm, Sunwest, is among the contractors flagged in connection with the alleged anomalies.

Failure to return within the deadline, Dy warned, could lead to disciplinary or legal actions by the House of Representatives.
