The Supreme Court En Banc has appointed Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Ma. Theresa Dolores Gomez-Estoesta as the new Court Administrator, effective September 1, 2025.
Gomez-Estoesta will replace former Court Administrator Raul Villanueva, who has since been appointed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as Associate Justice of the high court.
Appointed to the Sandiganbayan in 2014 by then-President Benigno S. Aquino III, Gomez-Estoesta previously served as a Manila regional trial court judge and as presiding judge of the Manila metropolitan trial court.
She also worked at the Office of the Solicitor General from 1991 to 2002, and has received multiple judicial excellence awards, including the Chief Justice Cayetano Arellano Award in 2012.
A graduate of political science from De La Salle University and law from Ateneo de Manila University, Gomez-Estoesta is recognized for her integrity and judicial competence.
The Court Administrator supervises all lower courts nationwide, making the post one of the most influential in the judiciary.
